MobileNavigator for iPad

NAVIGON announced MobileNavigator 1.7.0 for the iPhone and iPad. The new version of this navigation software brings with it six new features including support for the iPad. The iPad version lets you plan routes on the large 9.7-inch display and send them to your iPhone when you are ready to travel. If you own the 3G version of the iPad, you can use MobileNavigator on the iPad as a giant moving map. MobileNavigator operates in a dual-pane mode on the tablet, showing the maps and Reality View Pro side-by-side on the large screen. All the elements normally seen in the iPhone version have been scaled to the display of the iPad. The iPad version is included with the iPhone version so you only have to pay once to get both apps.

Besides iPad support, MobileNavigator also adds reviews and recommendations from Zagat Survey, an in-app purchase of $7.99 (on sale for $5.99). Active Lane Assistant, Map reporter, and support for the iPhone’s retina display. The Active Lane Assistant help you navigate by displaying a small map in the corner that shows all current lanes and any upcoming changes. Map reporter lets you add information to the maps by storing and submitting changed road names, speed limits and one-way streets. All information is verified and incorporated into future map updates. Finally, NAVIGON has added user notifications and newsletter support to the app so customers can be updated with information about MobileNavigator.

NAVIGON MobileNavigator is available in the App Store and the version 1.7.0 will be available for all MobileNavigator US MyRegion apps today. The 1.7.0 update will be coming to the USA and North America versions soon. All versions of MobileNavigator are now on sale until January 6th, 2011 and are available for:

  • MobileNavigator North America $59.99 (on sale for $44.99)
  • MobileNavigator USA: $49.99 (on sale for $34.99)
