When it comes to software and appeasing its user base, HTC is on point. In addition to making slick user interfaces for platforms like Windows Mobile and Android, the manufacturer also cares after its careless users (i.e. those who prematurely hack their devices and need support later on). This time, HTC has released the first and full YouTube application for Windows Phone 7.
The Microsoft platform is young, and so applications and features are slow to move. There’s no telling when Microsoft will introduce full YouTube support to Windows Phone 7, but at this point it doesn’t matter – at least for HTC users. Right now, it’s not available via the HTC Hub, but you can find it under Apps>Music & Video>New.
WPCentral says of the app:
More importantly, when over WiFi the program supports full HD (aka HQ) playback, as can be seen above. The program is fast, zippy and even search is pretty solid (though make sure you choose your region and extend the range). Other features include Most Viewed, Most Discussed, Top rated, Categories and History along with thumbnails for each.
Leave it to HTC to make the lives of Microsoft customers a little easier.
