Personally, you may like or dislike the Sony Ericsson LiveView micro display, but some developers are apparently digging the idea of having another device in their “sphere of influence” with about two dozen compatible apps already being available in the Android Market.
However, some of them [developers] have also experienced problems when trying to make LiveView sing along Android smartphones that are not made by the Swedish-Japanese company. In that sense, folks asked whether Sony Ericsson plans to release some kind of a firmware update for the LiveView. And the answer to that question is… YES!
We don’t know the exact date, but according to this post on Sony Ericsson’s blog, LiveView owners should get a software update at some point in January. At that time, users will be prompted to use the SE Update Service when many of the issues reported by both developers and users will be solved… or so we hope.
