IngZ, the company behind a number of personal guided tour apps for the iPhone, launched 365 ThingZ to do: Austin, a free application that brings Austinites and Austin visitors an “all-encompassing guide” of what to do from local expert Kristy Owen, author of the 365 Things to do in Austin blog.
The content includes touringZ’ stuff along with sortable deals around town such as happy hour specials and sales. Thanks to the triggered audio commentary, photos, and descriptive text – you’ll think you have a personal guide with you like all the time. Moreover, the app points out popular trails, must see attractions, background information, approximate time per activity, side sightings, directions and how to fill extra time.
In total there are about 100 points of interest which can be sorted by categories (bars, live music, trailer park eateries, outdoors, museums, restaurants, pet friendly, etc.), proximity, cost or age group. On a map view, you can browse icons representing the various types of POIs scattered across Austin, identifying places to go and things to do… AppStore link is below.
