So you’re browsing the Android Market and you find a new app that you think might come in handy, or maybe a game that might be entertaining. It has a description, so that’s good. Oh, look, it even has two or three screen shots. Pretty nice. Better yet, there are 112 user reviews and so far the app seems decent. However, all of those things still aren’t enough to convince you that you’d really like the app. Should you just go ahead and spend the $1.99 to find out for yourself?
Taking a semi-blind plunge won’t be necessary anymore as Appsfire helps bring video demos of apps to the Android Market. Between the description, screen shots, user reviews and now video demos, you should have a really good idea about whether you want to purchase an app or not.
Appsfire leads the way:
We waited for Android to make this metadata available through their API, and as soon as it was released we pounced. Boom: videos previews in our getap.ps links (here, here, and here) and within our Android app.
Hopefully other apps and developers will take cues from Appsfire and offer up something similar, but for now if you’re looking for a new app in the Android Market, Appsfire is clearly the way to go.
