Madrid, Spain-based Okapi Lab launched its first Android game called Vector Ace, which is basically a mobile version of the classic paper and pencil game Racetrack. While the original game is played on a squared sheet of paper, its mobile counterpart sees you touching around your smartphone’s display.
The basic “plot”, however, is the same featuring two vectors running on a circuit and competing to reach the finish line first, and achieving more points than the rival. You control the vector’s movements by choosing between 9 points set in the racetrack according to you previous turn. There are some additional rules which you probably already know and if you don’t – there’s a Wikipedia entry doing all the explaining on my behalf.
Okapi suggests we think of Vector Ace as a mix between race and strategy games that will be “nice new option for fans of those kinds of games.”
