Sony Ericsson kicked off CES by announcing the Xperia arc, the next generation of Xperia handsets. Starting where the Xperia X10 left off, the Xperia arc offers a 4.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display (854 x 480 pixels). This Reality display is powered by Sony’s Mobile Bravia engine, the latest display technology which promises to deliver a state of the art multimedia experience. The handset also includes an HD-capable, 8-megapixel shooter that features a mobile version of the Exmor R back-illuminated CMOS sensor. Available in Sony’s camera lineup, the Exmor R technology lets you to take high quality, bright pictures in low-light conditions.
The Xperia Arc is a solid offering from Sony Ericsson and is a nice jump from its previous generation Android handsets which often lagged behind the competition. Rounding out the specs for the arc are the following:
