ESPN content will be available in a new way to select Sprint customers, using Sprint ID service. As a result, sports fans will be able to connect to their favorite teams and sports directly from the device’s homescreen.
Speaking of “select customers,” the ESPN ID pack is available on few phones offered by Sprint — like LG Optimus S, Sanyo Zio, Samsung Transform — with more to be included in the future. The offer includes access to:
- ScoreCenter – for accessing the latest scores and stats from 500 leagues around the world.
- Video On Demand – news and analysis from ESPN’s experts.
- ESPN Mobile TV – for watching of more than 900 live events per year.
- Fantasy Sports – ESPN Fantasy teams on the go – check on an injury, make a substitution or accept a trade.
- ESPN Extras – download wallpapers, ringtones, and get notifications and alarms from a variety of ESPN programs.
In addition, the ESPN ID pack also has mobile web shortcuts to ESPN indexes for football, baseball, basketball, hockey, college football, college basketball, ESPNsoccernet, auto racing, fantasy sports, SportsNation and ESPN PodCasts.
The ESPN ID pack is free to download, though you need to bear in mind that you can download up to four additional ID packs onto your device.
