Security experts from Trend Micro are going for the growing army of Android smartphone owners. The company announced what they say is the first of many applications planned for Google’s platform – Trend Micro Mobile Security, which not only keeps Android smartphone users safe from viruses, but also comes with parental controls, safe surfing capabilities, and call and text filtering.
In its press release, Trend Micro emphasizes they are the only company that uses cloud-based security intelligence to protect Android devices from the latest threats. Thanks to the custom filtering lists, users can screen or block unwanted calls or messages, while web reputation and parental controls make mobile surfing safer for everyone…
Personally, I don’t think anyone needs this. Reading everything before taping a button will work just as well. If, however, you want to be even more secure, search for “trend micro” in the Android Market and take it from there.
