SPB Software launched a new application called SPB Migration Tool, which is made to help users migrate their personal data from old Windows Mobile or Symbian devices to a new Android smartphone.
You may be thinking, why the heck do I need a dedicated tool for such a task, when I can easily do that using some PC Suite software. Well, not exactly. PC Suite may transfer your contacts and text messages, but what about the call history. Don’t tell me you’ve never held an important number in your call history with the idea to add it to the address book at some point in the future. SPB Migration Tool is made with that in mind – it will copy all of your personal information like call history, text messages, contacts and even bookmarks to a new Android smartphone.
The process is conducted either using a microSD memory card or via the cloud. Either way, your data is safe and if you opt for the latter method, you should know that your personal data is encrypted and deleted from SPB’s servers completely after 12 hours.
