My favouritest voice app in the whole wide world, Vlingo, has added language support for French, German, Italian and Spanish, as well as text-to-voice calendar notifications when you have the SafeReader feature turned on. SafeReader still reads all incoming messages out loud to you, so you can stay connected while driving.
Vlingo provides all-purpose voice control of your phone, ranging from starting calls, to dictating text messages, to launching apps, updating social network status, initiating web searches, and lots more. The Android version seems to be getting a bit more love than BlackBerry these days, what with the InCar feature, which pairs up with SafeReader by letting you dictate e-mail and text replies without having to touch your phone.
Regardless, European reach will make this app a lot more helpful for folks abroad.
Keep in mind that the new calendar notifications are only for the pricey $20 premium app, but it also lets you dictate text into any field on the phone, which is kind of cool. Find Vlingo free here and premium here in the BlackBerry App World.
