Samsung SHW-A175S is yet another device which most likely won’t leave the shores of South Korea. To be fair, we’re not that sorry actually, considering it’s not a smartphone we’re talking about. Rather the A175S relies on Samsung’s home-made feature phone platform with Haptic UI running on top of it.
Rest of the specs include a 3.2-inch WQVGA (240×400 pixels) AMOLED touchscreen, 3G and WiFi connectivity, 3.2-megapixel camera, GPS, Bluetooth, T-DMB mobile TV receiver, 3.5mm headset jack and a microSD slot that works with memory cards of up to 16GB. Interestingly enough, this is an NFC-enabled device, allowing for contactless payments (though I doubt it will work outside of South Korea). Moreover, there’s the “standard for Korea” T-DMB receiver so users can enjoy TV programming while on the go.
Price and the availability date have not been unveiled…
