iControlpad, the iPhone and iPod Touch accessory that promised to deliver better mobile gaming experience is finally available for pre-order. I must warn you, though, it’s not cheap. Quite the contrary – if you require physical buttons to play games on your iGadgets, prepare to pour out whopping 75 bucks. That’s kinda pricey when we know that the iPhone 3GS costs as little as $49 on an AT&T contact.
Anyway, iControlpad comes in three parts — the controller and two separate snap-on sides — which can be ordered separately presuming you lost or broke one of the parts. Otherwise, there’s no point cause you’ll need all of them to be able to use iControlpad.
The way I see it, this is an awesome accessory for playing some classic games that were simply ported to iOS and are kinda hard to play with touchscreen controls. The question is – whether you/we are that eager to get a better experience. As I said at the beginning, $74.99 seems too steep…
