Huawei Reveals Expanded Suite of Smart Devices at 2011 Mobile World Congress

Today Huawei introduced its latest Android Gingerbread smartphone, the Huawei IDEOS X3, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. At the same event, Huawei also launched three other products – the Huawei IDEOSTM S7 Slim tablet, the Huawei HiLink data card and the Huawei Mobile WiFi Smart Pro wireless modem.
Huawei IDEOS X3
- The Huawei IDEOS X3 helps users more effectively manage their communication and seamlessly sync their social communication channels.
- At 11.2mm, the Huawei IDEOS X3 is ultra slim with a 3.2-inch capacitive HVGA touchscreen – the slimmest handset in the 3.2-inch screen range on the market.
- 3.2 megapixel front-facing camera.
- Huawei Handset Over-the-Air and Online Upgrade (HOTA) solution for Android, which provides users easy and timely OS upgrades.
- Availability: The Huawei IDEOS X3 will be available in Japan via SOFTBANK MOBILE Corp. from Spring 2011.
- The Huawei IDEOS X3 will be priced below USD200.
Huawei IDEOS S7 Slim
- A next-generation 7-inch capacitive touchscreen tablet offering a blend of style and portability.
- HD video (720p) and HiFi audio player.
- 3G, WiFi 11-N and Bluetooth connectivity options
- Runs on Android 2.2.
- Availability and pricing: The Huawei IDEOS S7 Slim will be available in April 2011. It will be priced below USD300.
Huawei HiLink
- A plug-and-link data card which automatically connects users to high-speed Internet in as little as 15 seconds; no dial-in process or manual configuration needed.
- Powered by Huawei’s proprietary HiLink technology.
- Availability and pricing: The Huawei HiLink will be available in Europe in Q2 2011.
- It will be priced between USD100 and USD150.
Huawei Mobile WiFi Smart Pro
- A wireless modem, an intelligent device which automatically selects the best high-speed Internet connection available.
- Supports connections for up to five concurrent users or devices for easy file sharing and media compatibility.
- Supports iOS, Android, Windows and MAC.
- Availability: The Huawei Mobile WiFi Smartpro will be available in Q2 2011.
- It will be priced between USD200 and USD270.
