Developers looking to tap China’s huge mobile market now may have an easy way to monetize their apps in the world’s fastest growing economy. Amobee has teamed-up with Motorola to bring its in-app ads to mobile application developers looking to launch apps for Chinese mobile users.
The solution allows developers to publish ad-supported apps in Motorola’s fast-growing SHOP4APPS China and let Amobee serve ads relevant to the Chinese consumer in partnership with local advertising networks.
To get started, you should first register here and wait up to 72 hours to get confirmation from Amobee along with an SDK, Developer ID and documentation for integrating Amobee APIs into your apps. Once the API is integrated, you can check to see whether banner ads are visible and if they are – you should contact Amobee once again to request that your Developer ID gets moved from Test to Live mode, the process that should take effect in about 24 business hours. Finally you’re ready to submit your app(s) to SHOP4APPS China and wait for the money to start pouring in.
Amobee is one of the largest mobile advertising players with established relationships with a number of handset makers and operators, including Vodafone, Telefónica and Boost Mobile. In addition, the company has a deal with Qualcomm to deliver ads in widgets and has raised money from Motorola and Cisco.
