Today’s mobile VoIP market seems almost infinite when we have so many companies competing for the hearts, minds and ultimately wallets of mobile users. Among the most popular “players” are Skype, Google Talk, Tru (former Truphone), Nimbuzz, Line2 and Vopium to name the few. Morodo is sort of an underdog, but you can’t say they aren’t trying hard. As a matter of fact, they’ve just updated their Android app with VoIP functionality, allowing users to save on calling and texting while on the go. Moreover, it is said that this release comes with improved usability and a brand new user interface.
Aside from Android, MO-Call is also available on other popular platforms including BlackBerry, iOS, Java and Windows Mobile.
Commenting on the news, Morodo’s CEO Andrew Reid said: “We’re pleased to launch the latest MO-Call update for the Android platform as it comes at a time where more and more users are looking for alternative ways to minimize their calling costs. We are excited to welcome new and existing Android users to download or update to the latest MO-Call version.”
