The Rogers Samsung Galaxy Tab

For the Canucks out there, it’s time for some quick tablet news… Samsung Galaxy Tab news, in fact. Yes, if you prefer to rock Android on your mobile devices, and prefer to give the cold shoulder to Apple’s iPad, Rogers has new discounted pricing on the Galaxy Tab.

Thanks to a ‘Mr. Blurrycam’ tipster over at MobileSyrup, it’s looking like you’ll be able to pick up a Tab for $299.99 on a 3-year term. Both the white and black versions are available. Not bad at all, especially when you consider the Android 3.0 ‘Honeycomb’ powered tablet recently went to $349.95 on rival Bell, for the same 3-year term.

This offer from Rogers is running now through March 31st, so if you want one, you better pop on over to Rogers right now.

Key specs on the Samsung Galaxy Tab include:

  • Android 3.0 Honeycomb
  • 10.1″ (1280 x 800) display
  • 1GHz Dual Core Processor
  • Dual surround sound speakers
  • HD recording and playback
  • 8MP AF rear-facing & 2MP front-facing camera
  • Google mobile services
  • 10.1 Flash support
  • A-GPS

As a side note, the WiFi version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab is coming soon to the Canadian coastline, should you prefer to use the tablet exclusively on your home or work WiFi. I know I could use another contract like I need another hole in my head, so WiFi is always a solid option.
