We’re just a few short hours away from the iPad 2 event in San Francisco, and it looks like Amazon Germany might have let a few juicy details slip. One feature that the new tablet might have is Apple’s new Thunderbolt technology which allows several high-performance devices to connect via a single port. This would certainly make more sense than the inclusion of a microUSB port, as others have speculated in the past.
According to the Amazon listing, the iPad 2 retains its 9.7-inch screen size, but gets a boost in processing speed up to 1.2GHz. It supposedly has a camera and all the bells and whistles that the original iPad has, such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
Not much else can be gleaned from the ad, but the release date seems to be pegged for March 17. Unfortunately, the Amazon link has been taken down, but someone managed to grab the screen shot you see above.
Stay tuned as we bring more coverage and details from Apple’s event today!
