Firemint, which is a developer of few super-successful iOS titles like Flight Control and Real Racing, announced that Real Racing 2 HD will be one of the first games to take advantage of iPad 2’s extra horse power, namely dual-core A5 processor. Moreover, the game developer said it will rely on the iPhone 4-style gyroscope for more sensitive tilt controls.
Firemint said: “The 9x faster graphics, gyroscope and slimline form factor have us really excited. Real Racing 2 HD will absolutely shine on such powerful graphics hardware combined with our own rendering enhancements… The gyroscope will also contribute to the smooth and intuitive handling as it adds another sensor input we can check against for added precision.”
In addition, they’re looking into how to take advantage of the 1080p HDMI output which is accessible via an extra cable.
Unfortunately no dates were mentioned for the Real Racing 2 HD launch — all we know is that “it’s on the way,” whatever that means…
