A few years ago, upskirt photos being taken on mobile devices became quite problematic in Japan and South Korea. Officials in both countries started cracking down on those perverts, especially in trains where most of the crimes were taking place. In fact, phones were required to make a shutter sound every time their cameras were fired, even if they were on silent, just for this reason. This time, we have a man from London was caught red-handed and is being punished with three years of probation.
Robert Bayliss (50) pleaded guilty to two counts of outraging public decency.
A Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) has also banned Bayliss from carrying any type of photographic equipment on the whole of the railway network for five years. He was also given a three year supervision order and will sign the sex offender’s register for five years.
Bayliss was standing awfully close to a woman at the Victoria Tube station in London when he was spotted by plain-clothes officers taking photographs up the woman’s skirt with his cell phone.
The officers were on patrol looking for pick-pockets and happen to come upon Bayliss, whose phone, when confiscated, revealed hundreds of indecent and inappropriate images.
I’m not sure how or why the old man got a kick out of doing this, but it’s a good thing he’s been caught. Seriously, dude. It’s called the Internet.
