T-Mobile USA today announced the expansion of its 4G mobile broadband network to five new markets including Des Moines, Iowa; Gainesville and Panama City, Florida; Monterey, California; and Savannah, Georgia. America’s Largest 4G Network™ reaches more than 100 major metropolitan areas and more than 200 million people nationwide – offering 4G speeds to more people in more places than any other national wireless carrier. With download speeds approaching five mbps in some cities & peak speeds of nearly 12 mbps on its original 4G devices, T-Mobile customers using 4G can enjoy a lightning fast Web browsing experience, uninterrupted video streaming and quicker downloads at no additional cost.

Customers can choose from a variety of 4G devices including the new Dell™ Streak™ 7 – the first 4G tablet in the U.S. –the Galaxy S™ 4G, the fastest 4G smartphone running on America’s Largest 4G network, the T-Mobile® myTouch® 4G, T-Mobile® G2® with Google™, and mobile broadband products such as the Rocket™ 2.0 Laptop Stick and the Dell™ Inspiron™ Mini 10 4G netbook, and the upcoming T-Mobile® G-Slate™ with Google™, by LG.

In 2011, T-Mobile plans to double the speed of its 4G network to be capable of delivering theoretical peak download speeds of up to 42Mbps. T-Mobile expects 140 million Americans will have access to these increased 4G speeds by mid-2011.
