Just in time for its second birthday, Doodle Jump surpassed 10 million paid mobile downloads. In the meantime, it has attracted attention of Hollywood as E.B., the star of Universal and Illumination Entertainment’s upcoming live action/CG-animated comedy, Hop, made a recent cameo in the game.
And that’s just a start. Lima Sky, the company behind Doodle Jump, plans to bring the game to XBLA Kinect and launch a multiplayer update for its iPhone version. Doodle Jump for iPad is also in works and will include brand new content — unfortunately, we don’t have all the details about it.
Finally, Doodle Jump also has its stationery sets, Doodle Jump toys are in development, and it will be released as a comic book — factors that make it one of the mobile’s most famous franchises.
Commenting on the news, Lima Sky’s founder Igor Pusenjak said: “After such incredible first two years, it is safe to say Doodle Jump has exceeded even our wildest imaginations. We are looking forward to bringing even more amazing content to millions of Doodle Jump fans around the world.”
