TELUS Launches New Unlimited Local Rate Plans for Winnipeg

I’m a Winnipegger. Born and raised. On the playground is where I spent most of my days… chillin’ out… ugh, enough of that. Seriously though, if you live in Winnipeg, this note is for you. I just received a release from a friend at TELUS, letting me know that some new unlimited local rate plans are now available for Winnipeggers.

The plans (as seen below) are in addition to existing unlimited Winnipeg plans that include long distance calling within the province of Manitoba. These new offerings include local calling only (no long distance), and are available exclusively on TELUS’ 4G network.

It’s worth noting that the Winnipeg 50 + Flex Data is probably the best option if you’re on your phone, downloading apps and sending pictures to friends constantly. The flex data plan allows your bill to shrink or grow without a HUGE penalty, based on your usage from month-to-month. Anything up to 1GB is $50 per month, 1GB to 2GB will run you $65, 2GB to 5GB is $80, and 5GB+ is $80 plus 5 cents per MB thereafter. I suggest you don’t run over 5GB. If all you need is voice, the Unlimited Local Winnipeg 30 and 40 are solid options.

Signing up on the Winnipeg 50+ Flex Data will require a 3-year contract… FYI. Eligibility for all of the new plans is set for any new or existing customer, so if you’re interested, I suggest you pop on by a TELUS location for all the details.
