Samsung has started rolling out Android 2.2 Froyo updates for the Samsung Galaxy 3 (I5800). The first countries to get the new software are Spain and Sweden, where owners of the unlocked, SIM-free devices can already download the Kies software to proceed with the update. Over-the-air update is (still) not available, as far as we know.
Once your Galaxy 3 gets some Froyo love, you will be able to turn your 3G connection into a hotspot, install apps on a memory card and access Flash content. Moreover, there’s also an improved Microsoft Exchange support included, as well as other performance enhancements…
You can download Samsung Kies software from here.
As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy 3 is a mid-range smartphone with 3.2-inch WQVGA touchscreen, 667MHz processor, 3.2-megapixel camera, 3.6Mbps HSDPA, WiFi, GPS and a microSD expansion slot.
