Yesterday, we got a look at some tutorial videos for the upcoming BlackBerry Bold Touch 9930 which were extracted from an OS 6.1 leak, and to join those clips are a few of the BlackBerry Touch “Monaco” (not to be confused with the lower-end Curve Touch). The key layout is similar to the Bold Touch in that there’s only a single lock key on the top now, and the mute key has been jammed in the middle of the volume rocker on the right side. The rest of the videos go over all of the usual tasks, like making calls, navigating the operating system, inserting the SIM card, and using pinch to zoom.
From what we’ve seen in the roadmap leaks, the BlackBerry Touch (Monaco) will have a 1.2 GHz processor, 768 MB of RAM, a 3.7-inch 800 x 480 display, 5 megapixel camera with 720p video recording and flash, Wi-Fi b/g/n with mobile hotspot, GPS, EV-DO 3G, Open GL support for 3D graphics, near-field communications for tap-and-go payments, and a magnetic compass for augmented reality apps. We had seen this BlackBerry alive and well a few days ago, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see it (and others) announced at the BlackBerry World show next month.
