iBuildApp.com is a new service created with the idea to allow anyone to create its own digital magazine for the iPhone and iPad users. No coding is required – interested companies and individuals should only take care of content and let iBuildApp fix the rest.

The solution is automated, integrating with popular CMS platforms such as WordPress, Drupal and Joomla. It simply requires snippets of code from iBuildApp to be inserted into the CMS code. Then a magazine owner should select a template — and there are quite a few of these included — and the final product is almost ready.

Aside from the text and images, videos are also supported to allow users to create digital magazines that take advantage of the iOS platform. Moreover, there are interactive elements, enabling sharing of content and commenting.

I haven’t been able to try iBuildApp myself, but from what I’ve understood – it’s a promising service, one that will help populate iTunes with tons of iPad and iPhone magazine titles. In that sense and considering all the buzz surrounding “iPad publishing,” it seems to me these guys have a solid business model. We’ll see…
