Wonder how webOS 3.0 will look like on the HP TouchPad? We do too and thankfully we have some additional screenshots, revealing few of the apps that will come bundled with HP’s tablet. Without further ado, here’s what we got:
- Browser – to get your Internet fix no longer will you click on the “Web” icon. It’s called “Browser” now and (as you can see from the image below), the application rocks a minimalistic design. The top right corner has icons for sharing, new card/tab and history/bookmarks.
- The Maps app is now powered by Bing (as opposed to Google). The top bar is all about search and there is also a button for details/information about a selected point on the map.
- Messaging – the list view allows users to switch between lists of conversations, buddies and favorites.
- Device Menu – which is visible in the top right corner, but now grouped together with the time and battery icon. By tapping on it, you get the current date, battery percent remaining, screen brightness slider, VPN and Airplane Mode toggles, Rotation Lock and a mute toggle.
- Music – left side of the application is used for browsing, allowing users to search by Song, Artist, Album and Genre, as well as individual playlists. The right side shows the list view of whatever option you selected on the left. The bottom part of the screen is reserved for control bar with standard back, play/pause and forward buttons. Moreover, repeat and shuffle buttons, and a volume slider are also there.
I like it. What do you say?
