If you’re a developer or designer with a dream to use tablet computer for his work, let me reassure you that you’re not alone. As a matter of fact, designer Volker Hübner decided to put his dream into a concept device tailored to the mentioned group of professionals. The way he sees it, tablet that would help folks accomplish their tasks more efficiently, so called m.pad, would come with a big 15.6-inch OLED display, nine fixed and two programmable buttons with e-ink displays. Moreover, he envisions 24 shortcuts which can be set and customized for every application used.
In addition, this thing also sports a scroll wheel, some sort of stylus (the one that works with capacitive touchscreens, we presume) and the ability to incline the tablet for 15 degrees. And if you’re left-handed person, simply rotate the board 180 degrees and you’re good to go.
As for the size, the m.pad measures 430x280x25 mm, making it easy to carry around. Love it, though unfortunately I don’t believe such a device will be turned into a physical product anytime soon. 🙁
