Oprah is getting her own section on Flipboard. Folks behind the popular social magazine for iPad selected “some great sources” highlighting themes and topics that have been a driving force for Oprah, including improving education, philanthropic work with charities, healthy eating and do-it-yourself home improvements.
- Oprah section incorporates select material from The Oprah Winfrey Show, Oprah.com, O Magazine and OWN, featuring empowering articles, inspiring profiles, healthy eating tips and more. There are also exclusive video diaries chronicling the final stretch of The Oprah Winfrey Show.
- MindShift – this section is all about self-improvement, exploring the future of learning, and covering cultural and tech trends and innovations in education.
- Apartment Therapy Chicago – the section that takes you inside some of the region’s coolest pads, many created from limited resources or space.
- Summer Tomato – offering tips and advice about healthy eating, particularly for people in urban areas.
- Charities and NGOs – showcases the work of major nonprofits like Oxfam, the Gates Foundation, Doctors Without Borders, Nature Conservatory and many more.
Of course, you can always add your own sources to Flipboard, as well as share, like, tweet and comment things you read with Flipboard.
