TuneIn Radio released a new version of its Windows Phone app that lets users access the FM radio on a device. The music application moves beyond the world of Internet radio and lets users listen to content from local FM radio stations. Besides its FM radio functionality, TuneIn Radio has its own directory of Internet-only radio stations and podcasts. Its library of digital content includes 50,000 AM/FM stations broadcasting in over 140 countries and 100 different languages.
Unlike Pandora, TuneIn Radio gives users a choice between standard FM radio fare or Internet streaming radio. The music streaming application is perfect to folks rocking an FM radio-equipped Windows Phone handset such as the Samsung Focus and the LG Optimus 7. TuneIn Radio is available for free from the Windows Phone Marketplace. You can also travel to TuneIn’s website or read the press release on the next page for more information.
