Samsung GT-S9500 codename leaks out – is that the Wave 3?

SamFirmware has caught a new codename for the still unannounced Samsung phone – GT-S9500. According to their Twitter post, this could easily be the Samsung Wave 3 (or that’s Wave III). When you think about it, that makes perfect sense — the original Wave was marked as S8500 and then its successor, Wave II, got the S8530 codename.

It’s unclear what the upcoming device will look like and what sort of specs we should expect. However we know the trends, right? In that sense, it’s kinda safe to assume the Wave III will sport some kind of a dual-core processor, better camera (8 megapixels) and maybe even HSPA+ connectivity support. Additionally we also expect to see a new version of the platform released alongside the new phone.

As a reminder, earlier we said that Bada 2.0 may be released in July though we still don’t have that confirmed. Guess “waiting and seeing” is all we can do at the moment…
