The delivery person just dropped off the brand-new HTC HD7S for AT&T with Windows Phone 7 and we just had to share some photos and a quick initial impressions video. We’ll have a full review coming shortly but let’s take a look at the latest Windows Phone 7 handset.

It does look a lot like the HD7 because it is nearly the same device. The 4.3-inch screen on the HD7S is a Super LCD display, the 3G bands are tuned for AT&T’s network and the trim underneath the kick stand is different but that’s about it. You still have a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, 5-megapixel camera with dual LED flash, GPS, WiFi and all the other things you’d expect from this type of smartphone.

Holding the large-screened HTC HD7S is no problem as the back has a curved plastic finish that feels comfortable in the hand. We’re not surprised to see HTC pump out some quality hardware but there’s none of the “wow factor” that can be found on devices like the more modern Sensation or EVO 3D. The 4.3-inch screen taks up most of the face and the standard Windows Phone 7 buttons are also on the front.

The right spine of the HTC HD7S for AT&T has the hard shutter button and a volume rocker, while the left spine is completely clean. The top has the power/unlock button and the bottom has a microUSB port and the headphone jack. I actually prefer the headphone jack on the top but that’s a personal preference.

This runs Windows Phone 7, so it includes a vibrant user interface that is very pleasing to the eye. There are still a few holes in the functionality compared to Android or iPhone but those should be coming soon with Windows Phone Mango.

Let us know any specific questions you have about the review.
