If you need something a little more buxom than RIM’s official Twitter client, HootSuite has just updated their social networking app with a smattering of new features. Twitter users can now enjoy Lists to their fullest extent, including creating, editing, and viewing, as well as adding lists as a dedicated stream of content to monitor. Facebook functions have also been extended, so you can now keep an eye on particular search terms, as well as manage events.
HootSuite for BlackBerry also lets you plug in to Foursquare and LinkedIn, while also supporting some connectivity to the well-established web-based social media console. It’s all very specialized for PR and marketing professionals, complete with scheduled content updates, metrics, and team management tools. The multiple account support may be enough to get heavy social networkers to give HootSuite a shot on BlackBerry, at least until the official client gets the feature.
If you’re already using the app, you’ll probably be happy with the new features on mobile, but if you aren’t using either web or BlackBerry versions, you can find more info over here.
