Firemint’s Agent Squeak becomes Spy Mouse; Coming to iPhone Summer 2011

If you’ve ever played Flight Control or Real Racing, then you’re familiar with the work of mobile game developer Firemint. That’s why we were all excited to hear they were finally moving on to a new IP which was called Agent Squeak when it was announced back in March. Since then, Firemint has kept mum on the game, but it looks like it not only has a new name, but it also has a new release date.

No more is Agent Squeak just a silly, little agent. Instead, Firemint has decided to rename its game to ‘Spy Mouse.’ Firemint has also announced through the game’s first trailer, which can be seen below, the game will be releasing some time this Summer on the iPhone. Don’t worry, Android users, as Firemint and EA have been known to follow up releases of their iPhone games with Android releases.

No other information has been released regarding Spy Mouse, but this little tidbit can be seen in the description of the video below:

Play as Agent Squeak, the dashing and debonair undercover mouse. Outsmart ferocious felines and crack fiendish challenges! Sneak, sprint and strategize in your quest to “reclaim” every precious piece of cheese.

Are you prepared for the biggest game to hit iPhone in 2011? Time to get your secret agent credentials up to scratch!

Sneak, sprint and strategize in order to “reclaim” cheese? That sounds quite intriguing. I’m just hoping we learn something about its gameplay elements since trailers with no in-game footage can only go so far. Although, since this IS coming from Firemint, I’m sure it will be another hit for them once it’s released.
