Aside from the LG Optimus Pro, the Korean company unveiled another Android smartphone – Optimus Net. From what I can tell, it looks like a successor to the super-popular Optimus One, which is now carried by every major mobile operator in the U.S. and elsewhere. In that sense, we’re talking about a low-to-mid end device that comes with the same 3.2-inch HVGA (320×480 pixels) capacitive touchscreen, 3.2-megapixel camera, HSPA and Wi-Fi connectivity and a memory card slot. However, there are some differences included as well, such as the faster 800 MHz processor (Qualcomm’s MSM 7227T) — in comparison, Optimus One’s CPU clocks at 600 MHz In addition, the Optimus Net runs Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread with LG’s updated interface singing on top of it. Price wise, LG’s baby will be available for 199 EUR unlocked.
Finally, we have a short video demoing the new device to show you. Unfortunately it’s in Italian, though I’m sure you’ll get the general idea what the Optimus Net is all about… Enjoy!
