The Nokia N9 has hit the FCC labs where its engineers have dissected it, showing us the guts of the first commercial MeeGo-powered smartphone. We can’t tell much from the images FCC has provided to the general public, but can notice a small SIM tray and decent 1,450mAh battery. The Finnish company managed to cram a quad-band 2G and penta-band 3G radio inside, ensuring a single device will work on all GSM-based networks around the world. What’s more, the N9 can also sing along all known type of Wi-Fi networks, including 802.11 a, b, g and n.
The FCC folks managed to grab both the 16GB and 64GB models, though we can’t tell the difference between the two from their photos. If you think you can – hit this link to visit N9’s page at the FCC’s website. While there, you can also check out the user manual and get prepared for the N9 launch… if that’s something you fancy. 😉
