Acer has obviously put all of its resources on producing and marketing its 10.1-inch tablet, Iconia Tab A500, with its smaller brother getting delayed as a result. I guess we have the Apple iPad to blame for OEMs obsessing over 10-inch tablets rather than smaller models. To be fair Samsung’s first tablet was the 7-inch Galaxy Tab, which became pretty popular throughout the world.
Back to Acer – we’re glad to hear that their Iconia Tab A100 will finally be released in August with a suggested price tag of $300. That’s even lower than that leaked Walmart price we’ve seen at the end of June. Of course, this is the price of a Wi-Fi only model, and I guess the 3G-enable Iconia Tab A100 will cost about $100 more. Either way, I personally can’t wait for Acer’s 7-inch tablet to be released. I find smaller tablets way more appealing and much easier to carry around. What do you say?
