According to an article on Android Central, Google and Samsung are updating Android Market with the Google Movies service for the Samsung Galaxy Tab. Apparently everything starts with select users firing up Android Market only to see the new terms and conditions displayed on the screen. Once accepted, the Market app closes down and then when it’s started again, the new “movies” tab appears.
However, in the same article we are warned that this doesn’t work on all tablets, namely those rooted with custom UIs running on top of the Android core.
I haven’t been able to try this myself and can only take Android Central’s words on this. If you happen to own the Galaxy Tab, I’m eager to hear your thoughts, presuming you got the update. Do you like it? And even more importantly – do you like the idea of buying and/or renting movies on your tablet? Comments form is all yours… 😉
