Motorola has finally started rolling out Android 3.1 updates for its Xoom tablet. The keyword here is “started” — just because some people you know already got it, it doesn’t mean you’ll get the update on the same day too. Quite the contrary, the launch will go “in stages”. Here’s what the company said at its Facebook page:
Android 3.1 for Motorola XOOM in Europe has now started to roll out in a number of countries. We are rolling out in stages and will let you know when the update is available in your specific country and so please watch this space. Details will be posted within the discussions tab and so please join us there or visit www.motorola.com/myxoom
Not sure why it took so long, but hey – I guess Moto knows what it’s doing… or does it?
As usual, we advise you to backup your key data, make sure your battery is fully charged, and then – “push the button.” Good luck.
