Good news for those of you still sticking to the Motorola Flipside. The American handset maker, which will soon be owned by Google, has finally released the Android 2.2 Froyo update, bringing a ton of improvements introduced in this version of the Android OS. If you recall, Froyo brought quite a few improvements to the platform, including web browsing enhancements, Adobe Flash support, Mobile Hotspot capability, Microsoft Exchange support, and ability to store apps to a microSD card… to name few of the most important improvements.
And that’s not all – there are also some Flipside-specific updates like Profiles feature that gives you three customizable homescreens, Dialer search which lets you search contacts by entering just the first few letters of the contact’s name, and the updated Gallery UI. Moreover, new preinstalled apps are also on place, including Task Manager, Files, Latitude, Places, News and Weather, Google Search, as well as the ability to sync LinkedIn accounts with contacts, messaging, and social networking updates…
