After Three, we have another British carrier listing the newly announced Samsung Galaxy W on its “Coming Soon” pages. It’s Telefónica’s O2, which haven’t specified the exact launch date, though we think it will start selling during the next few weeks. Hopefully, we (actually those of you in the UK who want the Galaxy W) won’t have to wait for too long to see the white version of the device available alongside the “default” black one.
As a reminder, the Galaxy W is an all-touchscreen Android smartphone which may not beat the Galaxy S II, but it certainly deserves a place in the high-end part of the spectrum. It comes with a single-core 1.4GHz processor, 3.7-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera on the back, while Android 2.3 Gingerbread is running the show with Samsung’s own TouchWIZ 4.0 singing on top.
From what I can tell, O2 will offer Sammy’s baby for free to anyone willing to commit on a two-year 30 GBP/month contract…
