ASUS will finally launch its somewhat bulky tablet, Eee Pad Slider, which if you recall comes with a full sliding QWERTY keyboard. The exact date is still a mystery and all we have is “at the end of this month.” Plus, we know the price – the 16GB model will cost $475, and the one with 32 gigs, $100 more.
As you may figured out from my previous articles on tablets, I would take Transformer over Slider any day. It’s easier to carry around and the keyboard is optional – you can take it with you only when you’ll actually need it. Then again, I guess there are some folks out there who want to have a keyboard at all times. For them, the Eee Pad Slider is a God given tablet.
As for the rest of the world, we’ve heard Asus’ tablet is now available in Poland and the Netherlands, with (I guess) other parts Europe to follow shortly. We’ll see…
