For some reason some versions of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play don’t come with the built-in capability to record HD videos, even though the phone rocks a pretty fast 1GHz processor that we know is capable for such things. No more, as the Swedish-Japanese handset maker decided to change that by releasing a brand new Android update to address this “issue.”
Once you’re done updating your Xperia Play — the one that meets Sony Ericsson’s sales expectations — will end-up running Android 2.3.4, which should also include some other stability and performance improvements (though we don’t have the full list at the moment).
In any case, we advise you to keep your phone software up to date, but also to be cautions when doing so. Having a local copy of your most important information is a good practice, just in case something (God forbid) goes wrong. If that’s on place and if your Xperia Play’s battery is fully charged – you’re ready to proceed. Good luck! 😉
