The ads for the forthcoming Nokia 800, which will be one of the first Windows Phone devices from the Finnish company, have been caught “in the wild.” From what we can tell, Nokia is pitching the phone as a sort of companion device to daily adventures, allowing users to easily “take, tag, sort and share. All in one flash” with a built-in 8-megapixel camera and accompanying software.
We kinda like the mass-market appeal the Finns are trying to create though we’re not sure users will dig it too. Let’s face it – there really won’t be that much difference between all the Windows Phone devices; you’ll be able to pick between a mid-range phone and high-end one. Sure, Nokia will try to cram its software and services on top of Microsoft’s platform, but will that be enough? We don’t know. We do hope to see Nokia finally releasing its first Windows Phone devices and get that story rolling… Can’t wait. 🙂
