After updating its iPhone application, online video game rental service GameFly is releasing a new Android app, too. Available for both smartphone and tablet users, the application allows users to:
- Create a profile page and browse profiles of other gamers
- Find new people to play with on Xbox LIVE, PSN and Wii
- Post updates and share info with followers
- Follow friends and other gamers, and see what they’re playing
- View recent activity around any game
- Comment on other users’ posts and see comments on your posts
- Get notifications when people comment on your posts
- Connect Facebook and Twitter accounts
- Share the list of games you added to your GameQ (or not)
In other words, this is serious stuff for every seasoned gamer and if you’re in that group make sure to either update existing GameFly app or download the new one right away. The new GameFly app for Android is now available in the Android Market and will soon hit Barnes & Noble’s NOOK Store and Amazon Appstore for Android.
