Poynt’s location-based search app for BlackBerry has been updated recently to include a whole new category: Offers. With it, you can find short-term local sales offered by Restaurant.com, Peekaboo, Mobile Spinach, and others. Some of the coupons are limited time, others ongoing, and cover a breadth of different businesses – food, hotels, services, and lots of other stuff. After finding your deal in Poynt, you can drill down to more details, and purchase through the mobile browser.
As always, Poynt for BlackBerry can find you restaurants, businesses, movies, and gas stations nearby, and provide tailored, relevant information for each category. For example, you can reserve tables at restaurants, watch movie trailers, or buy tickets to upcoming events. Poynt has wide coverage for platforms, including apps for Windows Phone, Android, and iOS (though it might take a little while for these local offers to find their way elsewhere).
