Well what do you know, Huawei managed to get a design award for one of its phones – Vision. Don’t get me wrong, I like Vision and as far as I can tell that device alongside the MediaPad tablet opens the high-end market for the Chinese company. However, I’m not sure I would give them the iF Design Award 2012 for the effort. Sure, it’s a nice phone, but it comes with specs that were considered high-end last year. On the other hand, the judges weren’t looking under the hood, but were wowed with the Vision’s curved display a la Nexus S (or Nexus Galaxy).
Anyway, the Huawei Vision stood out from among 4,322 international entries from 48 countries and is among the 1,218 entries recognized for their outstanding achievement in design.
And if you’re wondering when and where you can get the Vision, here’s what you should know – it will be available in Hong Kong from mid-November and in the UK by Christmas through Phones4U. Moreover, the smartphone is also expected to arrive in Australia, Singapore and Malaysia by December…
