It’s Cyber Monday all, so retailers around the country are cooking up online deals in order to separate you from your cash and Verizon Wireless is offering some nice deals on devices like the Motorola Xoom and 4G smartphones like the LG Revolution.
The Motorola Xoom with 4G LTE capabilities can be picked up for $199.99 with a two-year data contract. The Xoom was supposed to be the first major iPad competitor and it even had a SuperBowl ad to build buzz. It might be too harsh to say that it flopped but it definitely didn’t make a dent in iPad sales and it clearly didn’t perform as well as Motorola had hoped. I’m not in love with the idea of having a new data plan but the Xoom is a powerful tablet, so it’s a nice deal for $200.
You can also pick up the LG Revolution for $49.99 with a new, two-year contract. We found it to be a solid if bulky 4G smartphone but we weren’t in love with how long the battery life lasted. Unless that up-front cost is a major concern for you, I’d spend the extra cash to pick up the Verizon Rezound, Razr or the upcoming Galaxy Nexus. You can also pick up the Pantech Breakout for about $50 with a new contract.
If you don’t care about 4G LTE at all, the Verizon Cyber Monday sale also includes a free Droid Incredible 2 with a new, two-year contract. While it’s an older smartphone, it’s still a stylish device that should satisfy many users.
Verizon also has some Cyber Monday sales on accessories and other devices, so head on over to its website and see it for yourself. Any of you plan to take the plunge on these Cyber Monday sales?
