As part of the marketing activities for its mobile processor making division and in cooperation with the City of San Diego, the San Diego Chargers and the San Diego Bowl Game Association – Qualcomm is renaming the Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego to Snapdragon Stadium for 10 days. During this ten-day period, the stadium will host three nationally televised football games, one of which — San Diego Chargers matchup with the Baltimore Ravens — aired yesterday (December 18th). Two other events are the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl and Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl, taking place on December 21st and December 28th, respectively.
The goal of the campaign, the press release says, is to inform consumers about how Snapdragon processors help consumers do more on their mobile devices-such as watch HD video, play console-quality games and surf the Web, while maintaining the life of their battery for longer periods of time.
The combined three games are expected to have over 30 million TV viewers and 150,000 fans in attendance…
