HTC fills in the blanks for Android 4.0 updates in North America

Last week HTC gave the world an idea of what handsets to expect to get the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update in the coming months. The line up includes the entire Sensation line, as well as a handful of other handsets, but HTC wasn’t finished. A new Facebook post named “Ice Cream Sandwich Updates: The North American Edition” details a couple more handsets that made the cut for Ice Cream Sandwich in the US and Canada.

Now we can expect the Droid Incredible 2, Thunderbolt, Rhyme, and Raider to get updated to the latest and greatest version of Android, as well as the new HTC Sense 4.0. While specifics are nice to see, we would certainly hope these handsets would be receiving the Ice Cream Sandwich updates already. With the Incredible S already making the cut in its previous post, it only makes sense to see the US equivalent get the same treatment. Also, the HTC Vivid is also set to get the update already, so we’re glad to hear that Canada’s Raider 4G will also get the Android 4.0 bump.

While not the most powerful handsets in the world, we would certainly hope the HTC Thunderbolt and Rhyme will be receiving the update as well.

HTC ends the short post with a “stay tunes for more ICS releases.” statement, so we’re sure to see more handsets get the update in the future.

If you’re rocking a HTC phone right now, did your handset make the cut? What other phones would you like to see HTC support?
